Now Gen. 4 owners have the same ability to "tune" the Gock recoil system to specific loads just as Gen. 3 owners have! Our guide rods allow the use of standard ISMI springs or stock Gen. 3 springs, allowing you to tune the pistol for whatever ammunition you choose for improved performance and reliability. The Polymer version retains the light weight of the stock assembly, and is legal in SSP Division for IDPA competition.
Jager Gen. 4 Guide Rods have been designed from the ground up, not simply an "adapter" which causes inconsistent cycling and lockup due to incorrect fit to frame. With our Gen. 4 specific guide rods, the rear end of the rod sits properly in the frame with no movement or play. One of the main benefits of adding a steel guide rod is to improve consistency of cycling, not decrease consistency. Our recoil assemblies have proven to cure the FTE malfunctions some Gen. 4 G17 owners are experiencing.
